This year, Trinity High School Theatre is proud to present Myths, Memories, & Monsters, a season exploring the stories we inherit, the memories that shape us, and the monsters—real and imagined—that we carry within ourselves. Through a captivating lineup of productions filled with wonder, heart, humor, and haunting beauty, we will journey into worlds inspired by fairy tales, folklore, childhood imagination, and the complexities of growing up. From whimsical adventures to deeply human stories of love, loss, and identity, this season invites audiences to reflect on the power of storytelling and the ways our past continues to shape who we become. Lost Girl

A haunting and imaginative reimagining of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, exploring what happens after the story ends and childhood begins to fade away. Set years after her adventures in Neverland, the play follows Wendy Darling as she struggles to reconcile the magic of her past with the painful realities of growing up. As memories of Peter Pan and Neverland resurface, Wendy is forced to confront grief, identity, trauma, and the lingering pull of a world that once promised eternal youth. Blending fantasy with raw emotional truth, Lost Girl examines the myths we inherit, the memories that shape us, and the monsters we carry within ourselves. Powerful, poignant, and deeply human, this moving play offers a fresh and unforgettable perspective on the beloved story of Peter Pan.

Sometimes the Rain Sometimes the Sea

This winter, Trinity High School Theatre invites audiences into a whimsical and deeply moving theatrical experience with Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea by Julia Izumi. Inspired by the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, this imaginative and poetic play follows a lonely little rain cloud who falls in love with a human man, setting off a surreal and heartfelt journey through love, longing, transformation, and sacrifice. Blending humor, fantasy, and emotional depth, the play explores what it means to yearn for connection in a world shaped by memory, myth, and impossible dreams. Both visually inventive and emotionally resonant, Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea is a celebration of storytelling, humanity, and the beauty found in fleeting moments of love and loss.

Matilda: The Musical

Our season concludes with the beloved and magical musical Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical! Inspired by Roald Dahl’s classic story, this imaginative and high-energy production follows Matilda Wormwood, an extraordinary young girl with a brilliant mind, a vivid imagination, and a determination to change her story. As she navigates a world filled with cruel parents, outrageous adults, and the terrifying headmistress Miss Trunchbull, Matilda discovers the power of courage, friendship, and standing up for what is right. Packed with unforgettable songs, dazzling choreography, and heartfelt moments, Matilda the Musical is a joyous celebration of intelligence, resilience, and the magic of storytelling. Filled with humor, heart, and a little bit of rebellion, this inspiring musical is perfect for audiences of all ages. As part of our Myths, Memories, & Monsters season, Matilda reminds us that the monsters we face are not always imaginary—and that sometimes the stories we tell ourselves have the power to change the world.
